Film Festival Kickoff! Let The Fun Times Begin!

Sled Island Film kicks-off tonight with the screening of Firewall of Sound at 7pm and Everything Lounder Than Everything Else at 9pm! Over the next three nights we have a compact selection of independent Canadian and Alberta premiere music docs and features screening at The Plaza.

Features include Color Me Obsessed: A Documentary about The Replacements; a witty Canadian feature entitled Everything Louder Than Everything Else featuring live performance by Steve McBean (Pink Mountain Tops and Black Mountain) and Ryan Beattie (Frog Eyes); the survival of the record industry in Firewall of Sound; and New Jerusalem, a narrative feature co-starring Will Oldham (Bonnie “Prince” Billy). Plus a pile of shorts on bikes and more on Wednesday June 22!
