Local Bands! Calgary Represent!

We’re happy to announce that of the 231 bands scheduled to perform at Sled Island from June 30-July 3, 77 are based in Calgary and 107 within Alberta.

As a festival we do our best to provide a platform for the amazing local music community in Calgary by adding a variety of local and visiting bands on the same bill. Often time this leads to great shows not only for the fans, but also the bands involved! 

Sled Island is also pleased to have the Young Buds stage back in action as an effort to program more all-ages shows for the under 18 crowd in Calgary. These young bands are the future of the music and arts community in Calgary and we’re thrilled to help get them started out on the right foot by bringing ‘em together for the festival.
