Young Ones (Calgary, AB) Young Ones return to Sled Island after a successful stint last year. Listening to Young Ones is like running into that friend from way back when that you totally forgot about and still having the time of your life. Pat Jordache (Montreal, QC) Pat Jordache needs to be set free. His lush wall of reverb and blends of pattern create a wonderful clash. The Raveonettes (Copenhagen, Denmark) The Danish duo of Sune Rose Wagner and Sharin Foo, who make up the Raveonettes, have earned international acclaim for their gorgeously lush and utterly hypnotic tunes. With dashes of layered dreamscapes, driving beats, two-part vocal harmonies waxing poetic on murder, lust, drugs and suicide and a structural simplicity that conjures The Jesus and Mary Chain.
